Case study · Confidential client · International activity-led resort
One guest journey across rooms, activities and food.
This resort did not have one simple booking journey. Guests could arrive through accommodation, activities or an online travel agent, then move across experiences, communications and on-site spend. Wynter designed the joined-up operating architecture behind that journey.
Accommodation · outdoor activities · food and beverage
Activities booking engine and Cloudbeds PMS
Guest journey and technology architecture
Integration · upsell · communications · revenue flow
More than a technology decision.
Accommodation, activities and food and beverage each had their own systems and revenue journeys, but the guest experienced a single resort. Without an end-to-end design, bookings, communications and opportunities to add an activity could easily become fragmented.
The architecture also needed to account for operational dependencies behind the experience: instructor allocation, property availability, pre-arrival and in-stay communications, restaurant bookings, point of sale and the flow of revenue into finance.
Connecting the decision to the operation.
Map every entry point
Mapped journeys beginning on the resort website, through an online travel agent or with an activity booking, including accommodation upsell and accommodation-only routes.
Define the system roles
Positioned the activities booking engine, Cloudbeds PMS, workforce planning, guest communications, restaurant booking, point of sale and finance tools within one architecture.
Design the hand-offs
Identified where systems needed push/pull integration, optional synchronisation or a clear operational hand-off rather than assuming every connection should work in the same way.
Keep the next purchase visible
Built activity prompts into pre-arrival and during-stay communications, connecting the guest journey to practical opportunities for additional resort spend.
A practical route forward.
The resort gained a single blueprint showing how the guest, booking and revenue journeys should work across departments and platforms.
That blueprint created a clearer basis for supplier conversations, integration priorities and operational design—while keeping the guest experience, rather than any one system, at the centre of the decision.
Running a resort or mixed hospitality operation? Wynter can turn disconnected systems and departments into one practical guest and commercial journey.
